Andrew grew up in rural Nova Scotia and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours) from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick in 2007. Andrew relocated to Alberta that same year and was employed initially in the industrial aggregate industry before working as an Assistant to a Member of the Legislative Assembly and a Calgary City Councillor prior to attending law school in 2011.

Andrew obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2014. While a student, Andrew competed nationally in trial advocacy competitions representing the U of C and also maintained part-time employment with a large international oil and gas company. Following graduation, Andrew articled and practiced at a large international law firm before joining JSS Barristers in 2017.

Andrew has appeared before Alberta's Court of Appeal, Court of Queen's Bench, and Land Compensation Board. Andrew has a general practice in litigation and has assisted clients in various contractual, product liability, and insurance-related matters. Andrew also has valuable expertise in the law of expropriation and has acted on behalf of landowners affected by public works and utilities.

A husband and father of two young children, Andrew enjoys spending time away from the office at home where he also keeps track of his third love, the Toronto Blue Jays.
